From the time I was five, I was making up stories and when I was in the first grade and could put two sentences together, I began writing my own stories. My first one was a fantasy and only a page long, however my teacher asked me to read it for the class. I did and became a very young writing legend. It was during my classmate's enthusiastic applause that I realized what it was I was meant to do. The dream was born and I am still pursuing it. |

Blessed with an overactive imagination that has also cursed me with insomnia, I found that, should I decide not to write, I become very miserable very quickly. I even become physically ill. It took me a while to learn that I need to give in to the creative side in order to stay healthy and happy. I just did not realize this particular side makes up nearly 80% of who I am. However, it is not limited to writing. I like to sew and do so without a pattern. I get an idea, lay out the material and make what I want. I do the same with desktop designing, custom documents and greeting cards, silk floral arrangements and all this is but one facet of my soul. I reside in California with my husband who is also my best friend
and biggest fan. He is the person behind the reason I continue to work hard to share my stories
with all of you. His encouragement urges me to keep fighting for the realization of my dreams.
We also have three wonderful male cats that we consider our kids. My real children
very much admire him and he them.
I am fortunate to have three children. My oldest daughter, Jacqie, now 21, lives on her own in Indiana
working full time and going to college. My twins, Joshua and Kelsey, now 18 still live in New
York with their father and stepmother. It is uncertain what they will do once they graduate this year. I am an active and PRO member of the RWA, FF and P, and the SCBWI. This page is not the only thing that I will be changing. I will be putting my penn name to rest and writing under a new one. Visit my blog for more about this.
