I was born and raised in Georgia, so I grew up with that cute southern accent and after nearly 30 years of living in the north and western regions of the country, I have not been able to shake it completely. I started writing when I was six years old and telling stories as early as 5. My mother encouraged the strong imagination in me, since we were not allowed much time in front of the television. However, writing was only considered a hobby and not something you could make a living at so I was never encouraged to develop the art until I was in high school and college. |

I have had the good fortune to have lived all over the country. The most colorful and lovely place was Ketchikan, Alaska. I have done all manner of things in the work industry; from Veterinary technician to Ticket and Reservations for the travel industry. My favorite work outside of writing consists of a part time administrative office assistance to two of the best bosses anyone could wish for. I collect movies and tend to see as many as I can when they come out. I also love culture in the form of art galleries, museums, botanical gardens and stage shows. Living in Southern California gives me a taste of it all. Another pasttime I cannot pass up is that I enjoy a really good amusement park. I have to say that a good roller coaster gives me all the giggles I need for a long time. My family here includes my husband who is also my best friend
and biggest fan. He is the person behind the reason I can now share my stories with
all of you. His encouragement has led me on the path toward realizing my dreams.
We also have three wonderful male cats that we consider our kids. My real children
very much admire him and he them.
I am fortunate to have three children. They reside in New York. My oldest daughter,
Jacqie, age 20, is out on her own and in college. I also have twins; daughter Kelsey, 17
and son Joshua, 17. I am an active member of the RWA, FF and P, and the SCBWI. I would be happy to speak about my fondest passion, writing, and answer questions for those desiring the very same thing.
